GEBZE-ORHANGAZİ-İZMİR HIGHWAY(İZMİT BAY PASSING & CONNECTION ROADS) MARMARA SEA BRIDGE CROSSING DEV. PLAN (2012)
Gebze - Orhangazi - Izmir (Izmit Bay Crossing and Access Roads Included) Highway Project, aims to connect Istanbul and Izmir between each other in Turkey. At the same time considering the route passes in cities such as Bursa and Balikesir provinces and crossing from Yalova to Kocaeli with high population density where takes place in the Marmara Region and Aegean Region the project will be an important link between them.
Crossing over Marmara sea is from Yalova-Altinova to Kocaeli over a bridge to apply development plan. Development plan considers the area’s important greenlands, industry, building infrastructure (temporary- permanent) , buffer zones, connection with the ground, sea, bridge location and the planning regulations over 20 other Public Institutions.
